About WE LIVING
Two ways of seeing the world
The name WE LIVING comes from taking both worldviews seriously. The East sees the world as one indivisible whole in which everything depends on everything else; the West sees a world of independent parts that reason can analyze and master. The point is not to rank them, but to work across them.
Philosophical roots
East
Whole · Harmony · Cycle
Confucianism speaks of order and obligation, Daoism of following nature and the unity of heaven and humankind, Chan Buddhism of emptiness and the present moment. Together they form a relational worldview: the individual is a node in a network, and dynamic balance outranks isolated optimization.
West
Analysis · Opposition · Line
Greek philosophy laid the ground for rationalism and taught rigorous deduction. Christianity introduced linear time, history moving toward an end. The Enlightenment raised reason and natural rights, placing individual freedom and worth higher than ever before.
Where values diverge
East
Collectivism
Centered on “we”. Identity comes from the group; harmony, relationships and obligation carry weight.
West
Individualism
Centered on “I”. Independence and distinctiveness are prized; rights, privacy and self-realization carry weight.
East
Cyclical time
Time is elastic, turning like the seasons. Decisions weigh many relationships, and may take a while.
West
Linear time
Time is a finite resource flowing one way. Punctuality is basic courtesy; decisions prize speed and efficiency.
East
High-context communication
Indirect and implicit. Meaning travels through hints and non-verbal cues, and face is preserved on both sides.
West
Low-context communication
Direct and explicit. Yes means yes, no means no; argument rests on logic and evidence.
Building across the difference
East and West are not opposites but different colors in the spectrum of human culture. WE LIVING exists to connect Eastern manufacturing and Chinese brands with Western ways of living — in real American spaces, with real conversion and lasting growth.

Thirty years in practice and more than sixty design honors from institutions in China and abroad. He serves as chief design advisor to the Home Furnishing Committee of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and as ecological design advisor to the Foshan Home Industry Federation.
